PHILOSOPHY
Tara's philosophy is based on the belief that alcohol and/or drug addiction is a disease and that the chemically dependent individual deserves specialized care and treatment. The ultimate goal for each client is to achieve mental, physical and spiritual wellness through abstinence from all mood-altering substances. The key concepts of the program are the blending of professional and trained nonprofessional (recovering) staff around the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Through adoption of the 12-step philosophy the lives of hundreds of thousands of addicted people and their family members have improved.

To provide quality care to individuals and families affected by alcoholism and/or drug addiction by promoting lifelong continued recovery.
VISION
Tara is Indiana’s model Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Training Center, where professionals provide a complete continuum of care to enhance the health and recovery of individuals, families, and communities.
