Detoxification
The most intensive level of care provided by Tara is Detoxification where clients are monitored 24 hours a day. As a guideline in monitoring and treating withdrawal symptoms, the Physician and Nurses use American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to provide a safe and effective detoxification. An assessment, which includes a medical, nursing, nutritional, psychosocial, psychological and psychiatric history, is completed to identify past and current problems. Once the client has detoxified from the alcohol and/or drugs, they are ready to begin Tara’s Residential level of treatment.
